Games are fiction
Read this if you read nothing else. The games on this site are arcade abstractions. Their oxygen meters, depth gauges, creature behaviour, pressure effects and submarine handling exist to make a game work, not to model reality. Real jellyfish do not pursue submersibles. Real air supplies do not refill by touching a bubble. Real depth gauges do not award points.
Wherever a game mechanic could be mistaken for a real-world fact, the game page says so explicitly in its FAQ. If you spot a place where that distinction is not clear enough, that is a genuine problem and we would like to hear about it.
Not diving advice
Nothing on this site is diving instruction, training material or safety guidance. Diving is a trained activity with real physiological risks — decompression illness, gas toxicity, barotrauma — that these games do not represent at all. If you want to dive, learn from a recognised training organisation and a qualified instructor, not from an arcade game or a games website.
Not scientific or medical advice
This site is written by a games writer. It does not employ marine biologists, oceanographers, physiologists or medical professionals, and it does not claim to. Where the site states a real-world fact about the ocean or marine life, it cites the organisation that published it — see the fact-checking policy — and you should treat the cited source as the authority, not us.
Reaction-time scores shown in our games are game scores. They include target acquisition and pointer travel, they vary with your device and input method, and they are not a clinical or diagnostic measurement of anything.

Citing an organisation as a source does not imply any relationship with it.

No guarantees about the games
The games are provided as-is. They are tested across current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, but browser behaviour varies and bugs are possible. Game balance may change. Locally saved scores may be lost if your browser clears its storage, and we cannot recover them.
